Do you have a web site?  - Check the small print. - 25/1/2007

New legislation could lead to fines for small business, (and presumably larger businesses), if their web sites fail to comply with recent changes that came into force in January 2007. 

According to a recent report from Business Link that appeared in the Essex Chronicle all UK companies must now display on their web site, in a legible form, their:

1. -          Company registration number,
2. -          Place of registration
3. -          Registered office address

This information should also appear on e-mail footers and order forms. 

These changes may not take long to implement, but they are yet another task that many small businesses may not realise they need to fulfil in order to comply with the constant stream of new legislation.”
