ROYAL MAIL INTRODUCES A NEW PRICING SYSTEM

On August 21st 2006, Royal Mail is introducing a new way of pricing your mail. The new approach takes account of the size and thickness of your post, as well as its weight.
In general, many compact, heavier items (for example, an A4 magazine weighing less than 650g) will cost less to send, while light, bulky items (for example, a poster tube) may cost more.
However after the change, the cost of sending over 80% of business mail will remain the same – or even go down. For those companies facing an increase there are, in many instances, some simple steps that can be taken to ensure that you don’t pay more than you have to.
