What would it take to close your business?

Did you know that 80% of businesses affected by a major incident close within 18 months, and that 90% of businesses that lose data from a disaster are forced to shut within 2 years?  And…….. 58% of UK organisations were disrupted by September 11th & one in eight of those organisations were ‘seriously’ affected.

To help your business put together an effective Business Continuity Plan, we are delighted to send you a personal invitation to the launch of the Braintree Business Continuity Planning Guide which will be followed by a training workshop on Thursday 8th June 2006 between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm, at Causeway House, Braintree.  A buffet lunch will be provided.

The event is aimed at businesses of all sizes.  Self employed, sole traders and larger enterprises will benefit from the help and advice provided by experienced continuity planning facilitators
who will work with you to help put together your individual
Business Continuity Plan.

Why, you may ask? Unfortunately, your valued customers are not interested if your office has been flooded, the computer system has failed (again) or your building is not accessible because it’s one of many in that area which have been cordoned off by the police as a ‘crime scene’.  You may also have noticed that your insurers and accountants are starting to take a keen interest in business continuity planning.

So why not be one step ahead and take advantage of this FREE event that is being sponsored by Essex Business Support Ltd., in partnership with Braintree District Council.

All you need to do to book your place is to email ‘BCP’ together with your name and business address to russell.everard@braintree.gov.uk, or to call Russell on 01376 552525 ext. 2582 no later than Thursday 1st June 2006.  Free parking will also be provided for delegates at the George Yard Car Park, off Pierrefitte Way, Braintree.
