On Sunday 11th. From 11am - 6pm. 14 gardens around Witham open. Ploughmans lunches, tea, cakes and refreshments available. Plants for sale. £3 gains entry to all participating gardens. Tickets in advance from Tourist Information Office, Town Hall, Witham 01376-502674, Fenn Wright Estate Agents, Newland Street 01376-516464, Farleigh Hospice Shops in Newland Street, Witham and participating gardens on the day. NO DOGS (except Guide Dogs).

AMATEUR GARDENING COMPETITIONS 2006

Improving our local environment for all those who live, work or visit our town.  Past proud winner of a Silver Award in the Anglia in Bloom’s Best Large Town Category.

The Judges will be marking your entries based on the following criteria: Impact / variety; use of plants; colour combination / design , condition / care  /all year round sustainability

CENTRAL / CHIPPING HILL WARD. NORTH WARD. SOUTH WARD, WEST WARD

(FROM WHICH THE OVERALL WINNER WILL BE SELECTED)

BEST HANGING BASKET

BEST RESIDENTIAL / COMMUNITY GARDEN

BEST DRY / SUSTAINABLE GARDEN

Competition judging will take place between  1st to 8th July 2006
Closing date for entries FRIDAY 23rd  June 2006
