Did you know that from the 1st January 2006 you will need a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) instead of the old E111. The new card entitles all UK residents to reduced cost (sometimes free) healthcare, if it becomes necessary, whilst travelling in most European countries.
The quickest way to get an EHIC is to apply online at

as you'll receive it within 7 days".
Alternatively you can call the EHIC Application Line 0845 606 2030 (delivery within 10 days) or pick up an application pack from your local Post Office.
It could take 21 days to reach you.
REMEMBER IT'S IN ADDITION TO TRAVEL INSURANCE, NOT INSTEAD OF IT.
