News of shops and restaurants in Newland Street 8/9/05
New member : We would like to welcome “Personalise” as new members of the Witham Chamber of Commerce.
“Personalise” is a bright modern shop that opened in Newland Street in the Spring of 2005. They do what it says on the door: they personalise your sports shirt, school bag or child’s gift with your own special message or just a name. They have an embroidery machine on site and an interesting selection of gift items in stock.
Congratulations : “Azzurro” is a great asset to the Witham street scene and to those who enjoy good food in a relaxed venue. Congratulations to Richard and his team for designing such pleasant surroundings and for producing interesting Italian food at reasonable prices. Early reports praise the quality of the food and the staff.
To come : Work has started on transforming the empty shoe shop in the town centre into an American style sandwich bar and we understand that one of the few remaining empty buildings is being refurbished by a Chinese chef - more details later
