Detail As the new Chairman of Witham Chamber of Commerce I would like thank Dave Arnott of The White Hart in Witham for his hard work during the past year as the Chairman, and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I am the Marketing and PR Manager at Prested Hall Country House Hotel and Health Club in Feering and have worked in sales and marketing in various parts of Essex and London as well as running my very own successful business which I sold in 1988. I feel my life and business experience in various industries will enable me to fulfil my role as Chairman to the benefit of all businesses in and around Witham I am delighted to be the Chamber's new Chairman. I hope to bring fresh ideas to the Chamber and ensure there is a genuine voice for the local businesses of Witham. Businesses need all the support they can get in times like these and I urge all businesses in Witham and the surrounding villages to join the Chamber and together we will be able to support each other and make the changes needed to make Witham the thriving market town it once was. The excellent train service to London, good road links and easy access to Stansted airport and Harwich port makes Witham an ideal location to live and work. As a Chamber we will source information needed by you to continue to have successful businesses and we will keep you up to date with changes in legislation. Monthly networking events will enable you to meet and build up good working relationships with other businesses. We will be holding an open evening in September, (date and venue to be confirmed). Light refreshments will be served and information will be available on the Chambers activities. This event will be free to attend to both members and non- members.
