Elite Sports was established in 1988 by Nick Eva from his home in Witham. Nick was a former P.E teacher and was heavily involved in coaching and assisting at local sports clubs. The business was set up to provide local schools and clubs with sporting goods customised to suit their requirements. As the business grew, it was necessary to move to warehouse premises in 1990 and in 1995, we took on our first store in the George Yard Shopping Centre in Braintree. We now have four stores. As well as Braintree, we also have Witham, Billericay and Chelmsford. Our stores trade under the name Intersport which is an international buying and marketing group of which we are a member.
As the business has evolved, we have decided to specialise in 4 distinct areas. These are:
| Promotional and Corporate Products
We have an inhouse and outsourced printing facility and can also have products embroidered. We supply uniforms/work wear and promotional products such as pens, keyrings etc to many local companies and are happy to quote on any requirements that your business may have in this area. |

Home Fitness and Health Products

In our upstairs showroom at our Witham store, we provide a service where the customer can come and, in privacy, try and test different home fitness and health related products. They will also be able to access specialist advice on all the different types of products available. Also, on 19 th March 2005, we will be having an open day at our fitness showroom sponsored by Johnson Healthcare with many products on offer and an additional 10% discount on all Johnson products purchased on the day. |
We are probably the largest supplier of football kits in this area and have over several years, built up a reputation for good quality and service. We can also supply team kits for most other sports.
Wholesaler
We have developed into a major wholesaler of sports goods on a national, regional and local level. With our warehouse based in Witham, we buy in and wholesale clearance and end of line products from the major sports companies such as Nike, Adidas, Reebok and Puma.
Hopefully, that gives you a brief outline of the business of Elite Sports Ltd, a company that is now in its seventeenth year of trading and has finally seen sense and decided to join the business world of the local community.
